Training
Training and results
The way in which the training takes place and the combination of form and content within a course are important ways of achieving results.
Targeted training
It is essential for us that the objectives we have agreed on are achieved every time. Accordingly we test course participants before we commence the training. In this way we obtain the exact starting point for the participants and can plan the course that is necessary for the participants to achieve the language level that has been agreed on. Participants will also be able to employ the terms that are relevant and important both for the company and the participants’ work and focus areas. This is achieved regardless of whether the course covers listening comprehension, spoken language, reading comprehension or written composition in the language in question.
Short or long courses
At MASTER-LING we carry out many different types of assignments. The objective of the assignments can be:
- Communication with clients and business connections
- The ability to handle situations that arise on a daily basis
- Presentation of a subject, product or project
- The ability to negotiate agreements and contracts
- Linguistic proficiency within a certain area
- The ability to write emails
- The ability to write summaries and minutes of meetings
Or the objective can be:
- To ensure that the whole family is prepared linguistically for a posting abroad
- To teach Danish to employees who have been posted to Denmark
We work using both short and long courses, depending on both the time frame for the assignment and the language level of the course participant in relation to the desired result.
Training method: System - Melody
People learn differently. Some people learn best by using a very systematised form of training and others learn best by using a melodic form of training – i.e. by hearing the language. Every individual instructor is aware of this and ensures that each participant receives the training that is ideal for them. When we are training classes we select the optimal training elements and adapt them to the needs that arise during the training course.
With this as the basic element underpinning the course, training is prepared according to the client’s wishes, needs, objectives, business area and individual area of work.
Objectives and Methods
We work towards achieving our objectives by means of individually-planned linguistic training exercises, exercises designed to expand vocabulary, and conversations and discussions about the subjects the course participant has to master.
Other methods include structure drills, newspapers, online articles, journals, technical journals, books, CDs and DVDs. During the course regular checks are made by the instructor on the language areas already covered. We focus at all times on the objectives we have agreed on for the training course.
